Project Training
Formal training, coaching and mentoring of our specialists is an
important part of the Hanani product portfolio. We regard this as
being potentially the most valuable component of our personnel development
programmes.
Our view is that the ‘hard’ competencies required of
a Project Manager are readily accessible through basic training
and general courses. Any well trained Project Specialist should
have these basic tools and know the processes to be followed —
but this does not necessarily make for a successful Project Specialist.
We’re proud that the greater percentage of Hanani’s
personnel displays outstanding behavioural competencies. We believe
these behavioural competencies are absolutely vital and we have
therefore made significant investments into progressing each individual’s
development. Each development plan is tailored to individual requirements,
but we’ve proved that the most effective solution is based
on a combination of coaching and mentoring.
Project Coaching
This is a facilitative process which develops self-awareness and
understanding and which equips our specialists, over time, to be
able to respond appropriately in any situation. It is a process
which facilitates behavioural understanding and change. Personal
growth and effectiveness objectives are set and reviewed according
to each specialist’s needs.
Project Mentoring
In the Project Management context mentoring advises and directs
the project allocated resource to the desired behaviour in project
situations. Guided by a combination of personal and workplace understanding,
scenario analysis and experienced input, the impact and power of
changing behaviour in a project environment is understood and applied.
Practical techniques which can be applied with positive results
are learned. Objectives are set and reviewed against the individual’s
development plan, so that progress can be monitored.
Project Training
The Hanani Project Management Training programme comprises a broad
range of Project Management courses and workshops to cover the important
aspects of Project Management theory and practice. This is achieved
largely by partnering with leading South African Project Management
trainers and facilitators.
